Cats at the Esplande

Jeremy decided to take me out for a special night before the arrival of our little Crew. He surprised me with tickets (in one of the VIP boxes) to the musical Cats at the Esplande Theatre here in Singapore. It was a wonderful night and although we weren't completely sure what some of the songs were about, it was a terrific show. I'm glad that we were able to take advantage of our last precious moments of being childless, so we could have some quality one on one time together. I love you babe! Thanks for always taking such good care of me and spoiling me!
Outside the theatre. This is the building that is shaped like the fruit Durian. (If you are unsure what that is, refer to older posts. . . )
We're dressed up in our 'smart casual' (as they call it here) and ready for the show!
This is the inside of the Esplande as we were walking up to our VIP box. The structure reminded me of the bars on a roller coaster.
Jeremy is soooo excited for the show to start!
The inside of the theatre. It was a pretty amazing stage setup.
Especially when the lights went down!
Being in a VIP box had its perks. . . at the beginning of the show and during intermission, several of the cats came up to the box and got up close and personal . . .
And a little too close for comfort! The actor never strayed from her 'cat' persona, and she started scratching at my hair and my head, OUCH! Jeremy wanted to know why I always attract animals to me. . . dunno, maybe she knew I was actually a dog lover and a cat hater. . .
It was a great night that we both really enjoyed. Although the theatre felt a little too warm as we were both sunburned from too much pool time (not enough sunblock) earlier that day. Ahh year round sun exposure, gotta love it!

Just When You Thought It Couldn't Get Any Bigger. . .

Whoa!!! It is so weird for me to look at how big my tummy is, especially considering how BIG I THOUGHT it was a month ago! It is just poppin out there and causing me many discomforts. I'd have to say the worst is trying to get off the bed to pee 4 times every night. I have figured that rolling off is easier than trying to sit up, but sometimes I can't stop the momentum and I practically fall on my face. Just a few more weeks to endure. . . I can handle that. . . at least I don't have heart burn all day, or feel like I'm going to dry heave everytime I bend over; Oh wait yes I have that too! Really I'm just glad that I have been healthy and that it has been a pretty smooth pregnancy. (I'm just praying that the labor and delivery will be as well! Is that too much to ask for???) I have been pretty lucky and I should stop complaining. At least now I know why pregnancy lasts 9 months instead of 8; I'm not longer terrified of labor, I'm just ready to get him out!
3 weeks and 2 days till due date.
We tried to get Daisy out of the picture this time, but it looks like we were unsuccessful! LOL! That little camera hog!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone. Although we are thousands of miles away from home, we had an enjoyable Easter together. As we watched General Conference, we were edified and uplifted listening to the messages from the prophet and his apostles. If you haven't done so already, take time to watch the following Easter video. It is very powerful and turns our focus to the true meaning of Easter and to Christ's atonement for each of us.

The BIG 2!!!

My little Daisy girl just turned the big 2 years old! I can't believe how fast she is growing up!!! LOL! :) She really has stayed the same size for the past year, but I thought it would be fun to have a little celebration for her on her big day. It was especially special as her birthday landed on Easter this year. We celebrated by going to our local Pet Lover's Centre and had her pick out a brand new collar. It is absolutely Daisy, and looks perfect on her. She also got a new doggie toothbrush, since I was previously using a little child's toothbrush. I must say, there really is a big difference and I think her dental hygiene is going to benefit big time. ;)
Her beautiful new collar. Pretty and pink.
She had the luxury of enjoying a high-class meal of barbequed pork, mashed potatoes, and veggies. Notice the plate??? Yes even doggies can be special.
Here she is not sure if we are serious about her getting to eat the entire plate. . . It took her all of 15 seconds to realize we were serious, and another 10 seconds to have the plate completely devoured.
I was worried she'd choke because there was no chewing just inhaling. I thought it was funny that she saved the veggies for last. . . But don't worry she ate those too! Later that night we went to dinner at some friends in our ward. Of course Daisy got to come along and hang out with her best pal Kelly. (That's the name of their little shitzu. She is so adorable!) I'd have to say that sounds like the perfect ending to a perfect day for a pup turning two!
This wasn't taken on her B-day, but I thought it was so cute! She really loves cuddling with Jer after he gets home from work. . . and it doesn't look like he minds it either! :)
