My Week Old Bubba!

Here is my handsome guy at one week, wearing his zodiac onezie. He is a Taurus "born headstrong" (like daddy:) "loves to be indulged" (like mommy:)
Our last photo before leaving the hospital, us with Dr. Chua my wonderful OBGYN who delivered Crew. Crew at home sleeping after eating. His two fav things!
Daddy and Crew and of course the little camera hog. . . Daisy.
Crew loves to stretch out when he gets his nappy (diaper) changed.
Here I am with my two little babies! Daisy is so funny and doesn't want to be left out. Whenever I'm feeding Crew or holding him in my lap, Daisy jumps up on the opposite side, like it was meant just for her ;) Isn't it cute how he always has to have both arms up right by his face? (That small piece of flesh is his arm. Just an FYI)
This picture is out of order, but his very first bath at the hospital. The nurse came to our room and taught us how to bathe him. He didn't like her bath too much, but since being home he LUVS it! He just kicks back and relaxes. (Notice the nurse wearing the mask. . . yeah Singapore has taken the swine flu to an extreme level. They require all staff to wear them and you have to have your temp taken before they let you in the hospital.)
I had to get a picture of his little leg tags before I cut them off. His feet look so big!
It has been such an experience this past week. I absolutely love this little guy and I just can't get enough of him. (Jeremy feels the same way. He was so disappointed to have to go to work today. He said that he already missed him just thinking about it.) So far a few of his favorite things: being in his swing, listening to any kind of music, (Yes he even enjoys my singing) hearing his daddy's voice, (He always opens his eyes when he hears his daddy) cuddling with mommy, and of course grunting. This kid is so loud, even when he sleeps! He is constantly making some kind of sound, so we've nicknamed him the grunter. Regardless he is the cutest little guy and we love having him a part of our family.

LITTLE BABY CREW

Picture of us when we first checked into the hospital!!
Mommas "Little Bubba"
They already have the same haircut!!
This picture is gruesome, but we can't get over how big he is and the size of his umbilical chord!!
We wanted to say thanks to everyone for all your love, support, and prayers. This experience was a lot more difficult than we had anticipated it being. Your thoughts, messages, and encouragement have meant so much to us. We just got back from the hospital and we promise to touch base and get caught-up!! Crew was born on May 18th, 2009 (Monday) at 15:38. Sarah was in Labor for over 20+ hours. Crew ended up weighing just under 9 lbs, was 22 inches long, and had a head circumference was 39 cm!! ha ha (The size of his head didn't help in the delivery process!!) It was a little scary after the delivery, he was rushed to ICU for testing because of a few complications during the long labor. Mom and Baby are recovering and doing great. Daisy is adjusting to her new little brother! Daddy sure is proud of his little guy! Sarah will be the best mom in the world!!

Angels and Demons Verdict

So the movie was good but not good enough. . . as Crew has still not arrived! The movie was full of action but I personally preferred the DaVinci Code. But it got great reviews so go see it. :)During the movie I felt some cramping and pains in my back, but I guess it was just because I didn't have a pillow to sit against. I was hoping for sure in the middle of the night something would happen but I guess he is just too comfy where he's at. I'm really having a hard time staying positive about him being late. . . so hopefully he'll just come today.

Possessed Baby Ticker???

I was about to mention that if you look at my baby ticker you'll notice that it says I have 0 days to go. . . but for some reason it now says that I have 2 days to go. (Does it know something I don't?) Weird. I never changed the due date. Anyhow, Crew is now overdue. His D-Day was actually yesterday but he never came. You think I would be ornery and just want to complain about how big my midsection is and how it is stretched to the MAX, or how I can't sleep or eat or move without being uncomfortable. . . but no I'm really glad that he didnt' come yesterday. The reason?. . . Yup, good ol' American Idol! I would have been distraught to have missed seeing my top Idol make it to the finals!!! (Remember here in Singapore we are a day ahead so we don't get to see American Idol until Wed and Thursday.) Anyway, I really like Kris and think he has a wonderful voice. I hope he can beat out Adam next week. (Even though I like Adam as a performer I think Kris has a better voice and he's sorta the underdog.) Go KRIS!!! You may think it is pathetic how into America Idol we are this season, but it is like our life-line to America while living overseas. And I think this has been the most talent filled season yet. Ok so now that American Idol is done for the week, I am ready for Crew to come. Jer and I are going to go see Angels and Demons this afternoon, maybe a little "intense on the edge of your seat" action will get this baby to come out! Stay tuned to find out! :)

My little Princess - Too Cute Not to Post

I took these pictures with my cell phone so they aren't very big, but you get the idea of how spoiled she is! She really is the best little doggie in the whole world!
This is how we spend our days. . . sleeping surrounded with her toys. Enjoying the rug that we bought at Ikea, then took back due to all the 'shedding'. I'd have to sweep the floor everyday to keep up with it. Daisy was so sad to see it go. :(
I told you she was an angel! (It looks like she is glowing from the sun shining on her.)
Here she is enjoying the glider. (I had to take it out of Crew's room, as there was no room to glide.) Now Daisy can enjoy it as well, and I think I'll like having the TV for those late night feedings. . . :)

Chilli Crab mmmm....

Even before we moved here we were told we had to try Singapore's famous chilli crab. Well we've been here almost 6 months and we finally got around to trying it! Two weekends ago (I know it takes me forever to post anything!) while Nate was here from the home office, we ventured out to East Coast Park to find the best chilli crab. We were told that Jumbo was the spot. The verdict is in . . . and yes it was yummy! Here is our dinner right before we dug in. . . lol. Ok this isn't the exact crab we ate but the kill them right before they cook em up so they are FRESH! Can you guess which crab is the female and which is the male? The female is the larger crab. (Imagine that even in crabs the women get hosed!) But the male has larger claws with a larger portion of meat. Just a little crab 101 for ya'll.
This is the large female with the small front claws. The large oval bowl had the chilli crab the smaller one was the pepper crab. I liked the chilli crab much better. The pepper one was like eating an over-dose of straight pepper. The steamed rolls were so good dipping in the leftover chilli sauce. YUM! YUM! My mouth is watering right now!
Although eating chilli crab doesn't look too appealing it is delish! Jeremy's hands were covered in chilli sauce, and his mouth was slightly burning!
So was Nate!
Don't you love our bibs? The lady behind us thought we were such a cute and loving couple!
I was told that the chilli sauce was pretty spicy and it might induce my labor. . . no such luck. I am still 9 days away and counting. Which is fine, but if in 9 days I'm still counting, then I'll be pretty upset! Stay tuned and we'll keep you updated once he arrives.
