Kanye's A JACKA*$*$*!!!

So I know I'm behind here across the world but last night Jer and I just watched the MTV VMA awards and I could not believe that Kanye could be an even bigger jerk than he already was. But sure enough he topped it when he did that to Taylor Swift. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about see the video below) I don't know how she pulled it together, but I thought she rocked her performance. It was the best second only to Pink's acrobatic rendition of Sober. I couldn't believe the stunts she was doing while singing. . . WOW. It was moving. . . (To see her performance see the video below. WARNING: Rated PG-13 for heart shaped pastey on leotard and somewhat provocative :)

Anyhow that's just my thoughts on the 2009 VMA awards. Although I'm sure we could have spent our time doing something productive such as sleeping, It certainly made for an entertaining late night for the two of us. And it gave me some celebrity gossip. (Jer already knew all about it since he actually keeps up with the world news and reads MSNBC daily. . .I thought to myself "you already knew about all that drama and you didn't think to tell me???" Geesh it was kinda a big deal.) So this makes 2 posts for one day and i'm just blogged OUT! LOL. Actually my dreaded task of cleaning the house is haunting me and I've really got to get it done while Crew is sleeping and before daddy gets home from work. G'night!

This Week's Happenings

Well little Crew is now 4mos as of the 18th. He is as handsome as ever and such a GOOD little guy. I couldn't have asked for a better baby. Some of his new accomplishments include:
-grabbing his feet and trying to suck on those little toes
-laughing and giggling without being tickled
-talking almost shouting when he just wants to be heard
-rolling to his side
-taking his binki out of his mouth, examining it (no success with putting it back in:)
-getting super excited when he sees his binki or mommy's 'milk jugs' right before a feed
-he can now use his hands to pull on his little toy that he used to use his feet
He loves to hold soft things and put them by his face such as blankets, clothes, whatever. To get him to sleep he has to have his blankie by his face (so cute but sometimes scary as he occasionally pulls it over his face and can't get it off. I have to keep a close eye on him when he's napping.)
Here he is holding his very cute burb rag (thanks Becky he LOVES it:) he will hang on to it and suck on it better than a toy. This particular day was pretty hot out so instead of a blanket he cuddled with his burb rag. I wish I had a picture of it but I didn't want to wake him up. Some cute girls in our ward. On Sat Kate and Lehi hosted a fun BBQ at their place. It was a great time with food, friends, and swimming. Even though it was raining a bit the kids still had a blast in the pool. A candid snap of the party.
My little 4mos old baby! And sweet Cara in the background. (She's just a month and a half younger than Crew.)
I had to get a picture of my yummy cinnamon rolls. They turned out pretty nice and I'm proud to say I didn't go home with any leftovers. . . although with a dozen kids that's pretty easy.

I thought this was a pretty funny pic of Jer. . . not sure what face he was making but it kinda reminded me of a vampire???

In addition to Crew turning 4mos he had to go in yesterday for his 2nd round of immunizations. It's been a sad past two days as he has had a slight fever and just not feeling well. I got some good cuddling in since he didn't want to be put down, but it was still so sad to see him sick. Poor think he's got drops in his eye and medicine for the fever. Anytime I lay him down and lean over he closes his eyes and mouth, worried that I'm going to be putting something in them, once he realizes the coast is clear he gives me a big grin or a giggle. Cute little dude.

Just One of Those Days

!!!WARNING VERY LONG RAMBLING POST!!!
Today was a pretty lousy day. My poor baby has had repeated eye infections due to a clogged tear duct. Each time we would take Crew to the doctor and he would tell me to massage the eye and give me antibiotic drops. We had enough of that and wanted to know what to do to solve the problem NOW. So after a referral from the pediatrician, I took Crew to the eye specialist for. On the way there at 8:15 this morning my cabby thought that he'd take advantage of the 'blondie with the baby' and went 15 mins out of the way only to make a large loop, thinking I wouldn't notice. I probably wouldn't have realized except that he went right back to the street where Jeremy works (which is one block from our house) My heart started racing (as I'm not too good with confrontations. But this time I was going to stand my ground.) I asked him why he had made a large loop only to come right back where we had started. He said, "Oh must have been a mistake." (Yeah a mistake to try and pull a quick one on me, I thought.) I was steaming and wasn't sure what to do about it. (Of course I sent Jer a text to explain, as I didn't want to discuss this out loud. That would be way too confrontational.) But Jer called back and we talked. . . Yes in the cab with the cabby still driving! (That part made me a little nervous) We decided that I was not going to pay the full fare. The cabby was listening as I talked to Jer and I think he realized he messed with the wrong 'blondie' because as we arrived to the hospital (at 5 to 9:00 nearly 45mins later!) he said that since it was his mistake he would only charge me $12 instead of the $21 fare. YEAH I'D SAY SO!!! So I felt pretty accomplished that I didn't get pushed around. When we got to the doctors it was more bad news. After waiting almost an hour we saw the doctor and discovered that if we want to fix the problem now it will require general anesthetic and a minor surgery. We're not to keen on that idea so we got another bottle of drops and are back to the massaging. By this time it is now 10:30 Crew is tired, hungry and has a goopy eye, but still he is giving all the office ladies a smile. He really is the best baby. The entire time the doctor was checking his eye he kept giving her his biggest smiles. It was so cute. I digress, back to the terrible day. As we arrived home we had to say goodbye to Helen, my neighbor and friend. Her family moved to a different apartment complex and they are no longer our neighbors. It makes me so sad to walk outside and see an empty porch. Even Daisy was so sad to see them go. But I'm putting on a happy face because they are still here in Singapore and their new home is just a few mins away. :) On a positive note my baby is in bed fast asleep. And last week he slept completely through the night 3 times. I mean going to bed at 6:00pm and waking up at 5:30am for a quick feed then back to bed till 7:30am. (I wish I could say I slept well those nights but I didn't. I kept waking up as I became more and more engorged, and I kept thinking I heard him cry. So I'd have to get out of bed and check on him, like 15 times! AHHH!!!) Well I'm gonna go marinate on the couch, watch tv and wait for this lousy day to end when Jer gets home from work!

CAN'T GET ENOUGH!!!

Here's another video of Crew. I mentioned in an earlier post that he loves to talk to his mobile over his swing and in his crib. He was doing it again today and I was quick enough to capture it on video. He really is too cute. For all of you that live far away and haven't heard his sweet little voice here it is.

This is a picture I stole off Freya's blog, but I thought it was a good one and wanted to put it on mine too. :)

Ingenious Little Crew Just like Daddy

I thought this was so smart of my little guy. Since he can't pull down hard enough with his hands to make the music start, he discovered he could with his feet. He kept doing it over and over, so I thought I'd better get the camera and document it. Meanwhile poor Daisy felt so pushed aside so I pretended to record her too. She grabbed her toys and started jumping around doing her tricks. . . hmm maybe I'll have to actually record her and post another video for tomorrow. . .she really does have some fun tricks. Anyway enjoy little Crew!

Here she was pouting that I wasn't playing with her, and that Crew was getting ALL the attention.

Here's a random picture of Crew on Sunday. Daddy was very proud of the clothes he picked out while in the states. (I must admit he does look like a little stud, especially with that big cheeser!) Did I mention that Jeremy went CRAZY buying toys for him as well? Footballs, basketballs, balls for the bathtub and the pool, oh yes and even a football shaped potty seat cover! (Can you tell he wants his kid to be into sports???) Yup, Crew's not even 6mos old and we already have potty training gear. I had to laugh, but you can't find American football stuff here, so he was taking advantage of the trip home. We really have the BEST daddy/hubby in the world! He made a special trip to Walmart during all his meetings to bring back a HAUL of trail mix for me. (My ultimate FAV treat:) We sure love our guy and we really love having him around. Thanks daddy for all your hard work.
