Our Cheeky Little Monkey and His 1st Birthday Party!!

It's so sad how fast he has grown up!! Here are a few pictures of our little man and his first birthday party celebrated at our condo's BBQ pit.

Daddy was so cute and had directional signs and the adorable banner made specially for the party.

Dad sure does love his little buddy!!

Our cheeky little monkey and his birthday cake. (Mom's first go at cake-making. Thanks to Natalie for teaching!)

Spoiled little boy

It was a fun time for everyone! Even mom and dad were able to enjoy it since we had Botak Jones cater. Yummy! Yummy!

Mike, Maddie, Brian, and Katie

Chiemi, Erika, Helen, Esjay, Hayoung, and yes even Daisy's friend Hana was invited

Kok Tong, Wee Siong, Lisa, Tara, and little Monika

Crew's girlfriends Saana, Monika, Erika

Our little monster wouldn't even eat the cake!! It's the only thing that he has got his hands on that he hasn't destroyed!! Who knew he could be so delicate as he carefully picked at the frosting???

He loves to be the center of attention!! (Just with a smaller crowd. He got a little stage fright and started crying. After all he's not a circus monkey.)

Helen, Esjay, and their family!!

More Pictures of Thailand!!

It has been way to long since we posted. Happy 24th of July to everyone back home, so sad we are not there. We'll be there in just a week!! Little Crew-bear, mom, and dad are excited to get home and see everyone.

These pictures were taken on our trip to Phuket, Thailand. We did an excursion to Phi-Phi. Absolutely beautful!! This was the day that our little man started to get sick so Jeremy decided to stay back and watch Crew while I met up with some of our friends for our day trip to Phi-Phi.

The pictures may look familiar. This is the same location the movie "The Beach," was filmed with Leonardo DiCaprio.

We've got to go back, such a beautiful place!

Dave and Marisa we miss you!!

Bintan Triathlon

We finished our first sprint triathlon and it was pretty amazing. I see how easy it is to get addicted to the adrenaline rush, the competition and the exciting atmosphere. I can't wait to sign up for my next one.

To see Jer's results click here:
Bintan Triathlon

To see the champion's, (oops did I say that out loud?) I mean to see Sarah's results click here:
Bintan Triathlon

***Notice if you look closely you'll see Sarah's final time is 1 hour 40 mins 01 seconds while Jeremy's final time is 1 hour 51 mins and 15 seconds. . . but who's counting?)***

For those of you newbies to the sport (lol :) a sprint triathlon consists of a 750 meter swim, a 20K bike ride, and a 5K run.

Bring It On Bintan Triathlon!!!

I can't believe there's just three weeks left till our first triathlon!!! We're kicking it up a notch as we get ready for race day. Wish us luck!
Our beautiful bikes!
Now that I haven't fallen off my bike for awhile, I'm no longer afraid to ride it and I absolutely love it. Although I'm too wobbly if I try to wipe the sweat out of my eyes. Any pointers on learning to ride with one hand? Am I just a sissy???

Phuket, Thailand

The week after we got back from Bintan we went on a family vacation to Phuket with our friends the Liberatores. I can't believe we were together for a week and didn't get any photos together. . . next time. We had a great time with them and look forward to more vacays! (Hopefully when Crew is a little older we'll be able to stay out later ;)

We stayed at the JW Marriott Resort and Spa it was perfect. Everything about it was awesome. Except for Crew picking up a virus and getting sick the last day that was a big bummer. We had an excursion planned to go to Phi Phi but Friday morning Crew woke up with a slight fever. Jer took one for the team :0) and decided to stay back and look after him so I could still go to Phi Phi. Jer had a pretty long day with a fussy baby but he seemed to be ok. Until he woke up in the middle of the night with a temp of 104F and he started vomitting. There wasn't a doctor on site so we had to drive 45mins to the private hospital. Luckily it was a really good facility and we felt completely confident in their staff. After a sponge bath, several failed attempts at an IV, (that was heart-breaking I couldn't stay in the room so Jer had to be strong and hold our poor baby while they poked and poked his chubby little hand trying to get a vain. It was terrible I could hear him screaming outside the door.) and finally some much needed medication, his fever finally broke around 3am. We slept for a few hours and headed back to the hotel at 6:00 so we could pack up and make our flight back to Singapore. It could have gone so bad, we were so blessed that Crew was well enough to get home. After three days the fever was gone and he was back to his cheerful self. Thank goodness!!! Life is not fun when your baby is sick.
This picture was taken 'illegally ' but Jer was sneaky and got one shot in. Boarding Tigerair for our flight to Phuket!!! WE were so EXCITED!
(Can't you tell by Crew's expression? Spoiled kid, for him travelling to all these exotic destinations is just expected)
Waiting to get through customs, trick is to go to the line furthest from the door it goes the fastest.
My boys! Just after arriving at the JW Marriott.
Crew likes small elephants that don't move :)

AMAZING food! The Siam deli on the resort had delicious American style food like the yummy jelly filled doughnuts.
Thanks Emily for these pics I stole them off your blog :)
The kids pool
The blue pool

Beautiful Mai Khao Beach!
I had to add this picture because this may be the scene where Crew contracted the virus. . . the daycare playroom. I insisted that we take Crew to let him play with the toys because I thought he was bored having no toys. . . I'll think twice about that next time.
