6 Weeks To Go And Just About Ready. . .

I think we are finally ready for the big day, as far as buying things for the little guy. He sure is spoiled! (A big thanks to Beverly and Jerry for shipping us all our last purchases!) We have everything bought and set up. All I need to do is pack my hospital bag. You experienced moms out there, what would you say is a MUST for me to pack??? Here are the latest "must have's" for a new baby. . . or so I thought. :)
Of course you need bedding. . . I really liked this color scheme, even though it isn't the "sports" theme I always thought our baby boy would have to have; I love it!
You need a stroller. . .
The much anticipated Bugaboo stroller. I was so excited to get this stroller, and it arrived yesterday. I spent quite some time setting it up, becuase I couldn't wait for Jeremy to get home from work. I think he would have had it assembled in half the time it took me and my belly. . . but I sure felt accomplished once I finally finished it! Daisy on the other hand felt a little neglected.
Look at those tires! They could climb a mountain! (Helen our neighbor said it is so big like a tank. And I guess it could rough the terrain just like a tank.) And it comes with a fashionable pram so that the baby can lay down flat. Apparently that is supposed to be better for the baby's back. (How do you keep up with all the changes in what's best for the baby???)
And of course you NEED a snake skin nappy bag! For those of you who were like me 5 months ago and had no clue what a nappy was, it is what this part of the world calls a diaper. This is not a diaper bag it is a nappy bag. Kind of a funny word huh? (It sounds really good coming from an Aussie or British accent.)
Does a newborn NEED a pair of Nike Airmax??? If Jeremy is the father, that would be a definite YES! Those of you who don't know, Jeremy is a shoe fanatic! Especially when it comes to Nike, he has almost every color of Nike Shox ever created. So I'm sure this is just the first pair of many to come. . . that's what we love about Jer, he is so stylish!

Oh, my goodness! I can't believe you are that close to having your little one! I love your bedding set--so cute. And the shoes are adorable.
As for your hospital bag, definitely pack a robe and a a comfy *maternity* outfit to wear home. With my first one, I was sure I would be able to just squeeze right back into my regular clothes. It was really depressing when I had to wear home what I wore to the hospital.

I love your bedding Sarah! SO cute. I can't believe it's getting so close. How exciting. As for what to pack, I would have to say flip-flops for the shower, your own pillow, breast pads and nursing bra, jammies, snacks and an outfit for little crew. I've seen people come to the floor i work on after giving birth with like 4 suitcases full of stuff, so i guess you can never be too prepared! good luck. i bet you can't wait.

I love your nappy sack. I'm a big fan of the baby stuff that still looks fit for a respectable adult. If you are planning on nursing I would definitely recommend you get some "lily padz". Don't waste ur time with any other nursing pads as they just move around & are uncomfortable on the nips. I'd also recommend taking some music & a way to play it. I don't think most hospitals have music players. Also, a basket of snacks is great to have while recovering, especially for your husband & any guests that may have children with them. Well, good luck. I found giving birth a rather enjoyable experience compared to what you see in the movies. Can't wait to see pics!
